I've been looking for you all my life...keep up the good work and lets educate the world about the value(s) of secondhand clothing...nice workÉkeep it up!!
Al, Waterloo Ontario

My husband and I have owned our shop on Commercial Drive since 1988. I just came across your web site through "101 Things to do". There is no doubt that this site is the best BC has to offer the secondhand industry. I found your site to be very interesting, informative and full of potential. This seems to be a perfect way for our business to get more exposure.
Samantha Bell, Affordable Second Thoughts, Vancouver

Your searchgrads bulletin led me to your site. Just a word of advice; yellow on white is almost impossible to read on my screen so this will probably hold true for a large number of others. Also the type that can be seen could not be smaller. Are you pushed for space? The event sounds interesting but it also sounds like it's just for girls. Am I wrong?
Jack, Vancouver

Unfortunately the colour seems to vary between different types of computers. We will try to sort this out in the future so that it stands out better. In terms of the Safaris, we will be setting up more in the future to reflect different needs.

I read your email just minutes before your interview was scheduled to air on CBC Radio...what great timing! Boy, you got alot of airtime -- it was terrific...it made me want to get on that bus!...and great exposure for the website as well -- many congrats!
Renee, West Vancouver

I heard your interview on CBC's early morning show. Like all things unwrapped for the public through this medium I knew the game for consumers was well over. The essence of "secondhand" is finding the value in the unappreciated, abused items discarded by the ill informed. The consequence of your well-done site will cause the erosion of any remaining bargains. Demand will increase. Sellers will be more informed and reluctant to give or sell, consequently supply will dwindle ... etc, etc. Trickle down to the genuinely needy will become filtered by a glossy, distributive, entrepreneurial layer that justifies it's existence by pretending to help the "needy".

Don't you think this would offer balance to your collection of feedbacks from gleeful marketers?

Since featuring Peace by Piece in the Market/Event section on secondhandsavvy.com, I am positive that our monthly sales have doubled. We are also telling our regulars about your Web site. Thanks for your enthusiastic support!

Hi! I wanted to let you know you did an excellent job on the article and the Web site. I have been telling alot of people to check out this great new Web site and I wish you a ton of success. If you have a chance drop by the store - a new window display and lots of more new clothes.
Hope to see you soon.
Louise Alston E.X. Sales Inc.

I finally had a chance to sit down and check out your Web site. I really like what you are doing - some great articles, and awesome exposure for small stores in our neighbourhood. Until reading some of your articles, and searching around, I didn't even know about some of the stores that I walk by almost everyday! I think this will get a lot of attention! Can't wait to see what's upcoming on the site! I also just wanted to say thanks for showing interest in what we are doing here. We really appreciate you coming in and spending time checking stuff out! Thanks again.
Sally, Folkart Interiors

I AM MOST IMPRESSED! WOW! Very professional - and the site will provide a wealth of info to the folk coming around once there's greater content input. I particularly like the way the colours and presentation style/graphics suit the topic. Experienced only one difficulty--the size of the print. Came up on my 15" monitor VERY SMALL, and I have my viewing font set quite large. Might want to look into that, as it no doubt will discourage viewers from reading the contents.
Mavis, Victoria
We will try to increase the font size to be a bit easier to read.

I have spent quite a bit of time on your website. The site is excellent, however several pages contain a link to "home" that is inactive. For example, when clicking on "home", nothing happens. Just thought you'd like to know.
Barb, GVRD Vancouver
This has since been fixed, thanks.

Jo-Anne - Congratulations! The site is very attractive, inviting and easy to use. Thanks for promoting 101 Things on the front page and for your good summary and availability list. All the best in your new venture.
Pamela, GVRD Vancouver

Hey there Jo-anne. I just did a quick peek at your site. Well done!!!!!!!! I really liked the article about your grandmother's cabinet. A well-written article that was entertaining and skilfully made the point of what is so interesting about "old" things. You said it with a lot of heart. I have already bookmarked the site and look forward to more browsing. One suggestion that comes from my laziness. At the end of articles that require scrolling down I always appreciate the button that lets me zip back up to the top of the page. Not an essential, but something that I appreciate. Great work I don't doubt that this site will take off.
Rolf, North Vancouver
Thanks for the tip, we did add one those buttons to make it a bit easier to scroll back to the top.

I just spent over a half hour checking-out your website. It's terrific: professional looking, well organized, visually very appealing. You've clearly done an amazing amount of work in such a short time (puts lazy me to shame!). I read most of your articles (your creative side shines as well!) and followed the links around. No problems and the pages loaded very quickly (I'm still using a phone line, so that's the low end test of speed). Well done. I think it will be a big success once the word gets out.
Joan, North Vancouver

A few comments from the family:

I really enjoyed going through your site. Your story on the cabinet made me smile. While reading it I felt as though I was watching a movie replay it all back for me. It made me think about my family and how happy your grandparents would be to know how much you value our French Canadian heritage. I am so proud of you.
Love Mom

Very well done Jo!!! I like the subtle colours that you used and the layout is very easy to understand. I went through the entire site and had absolutely no problems. The info was very useful and the terminology was easy to understand. I think that this site will be a great success, all the best.
Love You

I just had a quick look at your site. I like it! I really think there may be alot of potential for growth. That will all depend now on word of mouth and some advertising. The only thing I would change is some of the colouring is hard to read. It needs to be darker. (Maybe primary vs. pastel?)
Candy and Pierre, Trenton

Salut! J'ai pris le temps de lire la petite histoire de famille et ca ramene beaucoup de souvenir. Bravo c'est tres bien. J'espere que tout va aller pour le mieu pour toi.
