Highlights December 2, 2002 Style Tour

Once again we had another successful day of shopping and mayhem. We were also fortunate to have Margaret Gallagher from CBC radio and Craig Takeuchi from Vancouver Magazine on board to help keep things rather festive. As a result we were featured on CBC radio (Early Edition and Basic Black) and the tour was mentioned as "one of the best things to do in Vancouver" in Vancouver Magazine. As always, the day would not be possible if it were not for all the help and support received from the participating stores. Our planning meetings are often as fun as the tours!

Another element that makes the day special is having a "savvy shopping guide" on board each bus. This time Michelle O'Neil and I decided to swap buses midway, thus allowing us each an opportunity to get to know everyone on the tour. Where as I tend to offer entertainment, Michelle brings along a wealth of information on fashion trends, beauty secrets, and helpful hints. Her talks are definitely a highlight of the day for everyone.

And, last but not least...the savvy shoppers themselves make this day come alive. Above are a few snapshots from the day that give you an idea of how much fun was had by everyone. Here is how one happy shopper described her day:

Partial proceeds of the day were also donated to two charities --YWCA and ANAD -Awareness and Networking around Disordered Eating.
