One of Vancouver's oldest consignment stores, Cabbages and Kinx has been in business for close to 28 years. They carry some vintage and contemporary used clothing, but specialize in eclectic costumes and fetish wear. Accessories range from hats and bags to wigs and boas. All clothes are on consignment with 50% going to the client.
In business since 1974, Deluxe Junk is another one of Vancouver's long-standing clothing consignment stores. Specializing in men and women's contemporary and vintage clothing, they carry both casual and formal wear. They also have a vast selection of contemporary and vintage accessories including shoes, belts, jewellery, scarves, ties, hats, and bags. They have specific consignment requirements so best to call in advance for details.
Now in its fourth year of operation, Fashion Junkeez specializes in vintage clothing from the 60s and 70s. They carry day and evening clothing for men and women as well as accessories such as glasses, jewellery, scarves, and shoes. They also have a wide selection cool leather jackets and bell-bottoms. All clothing is consigned with an initial 50% split to the client, but this changes the longer an item remains in the store.
This store is new to the vintage scene in Vancouver and caters to those looking for vintage items from all eras, but especially from the 50s, 60s, and the 80s. They also carry contemporary clothing for men and women as well as local designer labels and jeans from Japan. They do have a few accessories such as belts, hats, and some toys. They do not do consignment as they make all their own purchases.
In the heart of Vancouver's shopping district, True Value Vintage has a wide range of vintage clothing dating from the 1920s all the way to today. They tend to specialize in items from the 50s and 70s and carry vintage denim, bomber-style leather jackets, Adidas track jackets, vintage bags, belts, hats, and vintage sunglasses. They do all of their own purchasing anddo not do any consignment.
This store can be found in Vancouver's West End and caters to a very diverse clientele. They carry some vintage clothing as well as contemporary clothing in all sizes. They also have a huge selection of housewares, decorator items, gifts, jewellery, books, LPs, and mirror balls. They do all their own purchasing and do not buy or consign directly from the public.
Virgin Mary's has been around for seven years and can be found just outside of the Gastown area. They carry vintage from all eras, but specialize in clothing from the 60s and 70s for both men and women. Accessories include glasses and vintage handbags. There is no consignment as they do all their own purchasing.
